Over the course of 2018 and 2019 Magicard, the UK’s only ID card printer manufacturer has demonstrated its global environmental credentials through its support of OneTreePlanted.org, the charity which is solely focused on global reforestation.
Over the course of the last few months, Magicard has made multiple donations to the charity in a deal that sees one tree planted for every printer sold around the World. The company’s effort in this respect has been split equally over three regions which closely match the company’s own geographic presence.
As Ian Cliffe, CEO at Magicard says: “We are delighted to be able to support One Tree Planted’s reforestation efforts as it really is a worthwhile cause which helps us our goal of sustainability while also enhancing global awareness of the environment. Happily, we’ve been able to donate enough money for trees to be planted all over the world in areas such as Florida, Rwanda and across a number of countries in South East Asia.”
Furthermore, rather than spend money on disposable corporate giveaways Magicard recently took a decision to put the money toward a good cause: specifically, the recent devastating wildfires in Australia. Last month, Magicard made a contribution which gave One Tree Planted the ability to plant 1000 new trees in Australia.
“We, along with millions of others, can’t help but be affected by the fires that spread across Australia. So, we’ve created a separate fundraiser specifically to help rebuild the Australian forests. Our customers and partners can all be satisfied in the knowledge that they are playing a part in this process.”
