Ultra Electronics announces that its identity business, headquartered in Weymouth in the UK, has been relaunched as Ultra Electronics ID. Ultra Electronics ID is most widely known for the manufacture and supply of the Magicard line of secure ID card printers, trusted by thousands of organisations throughout the world to issue millions of secure ID credentials every year.
More recently, ID issuance software, secure technology cards and other desktop credentialing solutions have been added to
its portfolio of trusted identity solutions. Ultra’s wider security portfolio includes network security appliances, such as hardware security modules and encryption devices, which are extensively deployed in high-level governmental and military environments to manage credentials and counter cyber-security threats.
