Tell me about Reward-It’s beginnings
It was founded in 2012 as an spin off from the then largest distributor of ID and access control products in the UK. In 2020 Reward-It became part of the award-winning ID Card Centre and today, Reward-It’s customer service and support teams have an enviable pool of skills and experience: we have some of the best in-house technical knowledge in our industry in the UK as well as a unique, diverse product range featuring Magicard products.
What would you say the company is like?
Reward-It’s culture is a hybrid of business ethics and excellence. Walking around its premises you’ll find a balanced cocktail of young and older staff, which is one of the secrets behind Reward-It’s unique blend of creativity, innovation, wisdom and pursuit of excellence.
Reward-It’s high-energy core team includes people with previous experience of running a retail business or working in retail: this expertise allows them to offer a first-rate, practical service.
This team developed and rolled out a cutting-edge, large-scale loyalty solution that could support all the retailers within a town, city or region. It combines the best digital marketing and card-printing technology and was adopted by local authorities to help retailers recover from the economic consequences of the pandemic.

When did you start working with Magicard?
The Reward-It team have been working with Magicard for decades, having started as one of Magicard’s first UK distributors and consequently have deep expertise in its solutions and their uses and applications.
Our owners recognised that Magicard’s PCP printers filled a gap in the market, particularly for extended price signs in fresh food retail, and we became committed, long-term ambassadors. Our team have always been proactive in taking Magicard’s fresh solutions to market: our business and product selection has been built around Magicard.

Tell me about the types of businesses you work with
One of our clients is a premium department store with a food hall. We originally installed a printer in their stores to produce smart, durable labels for their range of specialist luxury food counters. Three years later we had upgraded this solution to provide:
- On-the-spot label printing, enabling price changes to be quickly applied across clients’ stores.
- Well-designed, bespoke labels that are not compromised by variable data print runs.
- Technical support, which has included product database integration and on-site installations.
