With the COVID-19 virus spreading globally, governments and health organisations are urging the public to keep up the strictest hygiene routines. Regularly washing your hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer has become a more vital part of your day.

We’d like to take this opportunity to remind our customers, who have access, to take the time to thoroughly clean their card printers too.

The simple step of regularly wiping your card printer down with an anti-bacterial wipe could help to keep your team healthy and prevent the risk of passing germs on to one another.

This also extends to your printed cards. Gently wiping down your ID badges, especially if they’re regularly passed hand to hand could help block illness from spreading.

If you don’t have access to antibacterial wipes then a little water and handwash on a microfibre cloth, so that the cloth is ‘damp’ not ‘wet’ can be used as long as it’s used with the utmost caution and the printer is unplugged. Be extremely careful not to get any moisture on the dye film, below the lid inside the printing area, in the cable sockets, handfeeding slot or behind the screen.
