November has seen the ‘Magicard Bake Off’ take place in aid of our pledge to local charity; Weldmar Hospicecare.
The pledge is to match our £2,000 donation to the charity that provides end of life care for people living in Dorset who need specialist support.
The Bake Off raised £173.25 and is a great start to the calendar of fundraising events taking place through 2018 to our 2nd birthday next August.
This includes seeing 15 members of the Magicard team running a half marathon followed by a 4KM ‘Colour Run’ in May.
Magicard’s Managing Director and judge of the Bake Off – Andy Matko, said: “As a company, giving something back to our local community is really important to us.
“Holding a bake-off is great for the internal team, but also aids in our pledge to such a deserving charity.
“Hopefully this successful day of fundraising will give our team of runners for the Weymouth Half Marathon in March an encouraging boost as well”.
